Guided Morning Walks

These could be anything from a stroll through the woods or fields observing all the local birdlife, to a trip up a mountain to find some higher elevation species. Southern VT, southwestern NH, and western MA are all easily accessible from where I live in Brattleboro VT.

Day Trips

A full day trip opens up more possibilities,  and could be either a longer hike, a trip further afield, or a multi stop “big day” of birding. The shores of Lake Champlain, Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, or Plum Island on the Massachusetts coast are some full day destinations I enjoy birding.

Birding by Ear

Want to improve your skills at ID by sound? I can help you! have been birding the northeastern forests for over a decade, and warblers (and other birds) are far more often heard than seen. And as a musician, I especially love birdsong. This is one of the highlights of birding the Northeast in the spring!

Beginning Birding

Learn ID skills, tips for finding birds, and techniques for using binoculars! On these trips we’ll focus on maximizing the joy of birding.

Target Birding

If you’re working on a list and need to fill some gaps, I can help you find what you’re looking for! Which or how many species will determine where we go, and how much time we spend.

Overnight Trips

Interested in a weekend birding trip somewhere? I can help set up an ideal itinerary. Some places I like to do multi-day trips include Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom and the coast of Maine.
